Caps Week of Rehearsals With Tim McGraw

NASHVILLE, TN – For Kenny Chesney, writing and finding songs that move people is job #1. Fresh off his work recording music for his forthcoming album ‘Welcome To The Fishbowl,’ which is available June 19, Chesney is eager to introduce 12 songs that move people physically and emotionally. With ‘Fishbowl,’ Chesney quickens the artistic stride he achieved on his last album, and his new single, “Come Over,” which is quickly reverberating with fans and music lovers, is proof.

“Come Over” was delivered to radio Monday morning and has become the most requested song across the country, quickly rising to the top of the iTunes country sales chart (currently at #2). “The biggest artist in our format, may have just given us the biggest ballad of his career,” said Bruce Logan, the Program Director of WTQR/WSSL/WESC. “After just one listen, everyone realizes ‘Come Over’ is destined to be a smash.”

Fans are also enthusiastic about “Come Over” with postings like “Kenny’s new single ‘Come Over’ only makes me 1000x more excited for the rest of the new album,” and, “Obsessed with ‘Come Over’. ‘Baby climbing the walls get me nowhere.’ On repeat for a day!”

On recording “Come Over” and much of the new music for ‘Fishbowl,’ Chesney said, “My love and appreciation for music grows wider and deeper every day. I don’t know that I would record the same music today I did five years ago and I wouldn’t have recorded songs like ‘Come Over,’ ‘El Cerrito Place’ and ‘You & Tequila’ five years ago. I don’t know that I could have sung them with the same emotion and believability. ‘Come Over’ is about two people who are not good for each other but they’re addicted and keep going back to one another. That might have hit too close to home to sing about five years ago,” laughs Chesney.

Fans will get the chance to hear “Come Over” and many songs from the new album this summer starting June 2 when the ‘Brothers of the Sun’ Tour, with Chesney and Tim McGraw kicks off in Tampa, FL. The longtime friends capped a week of rehearsals yesterday in Nashville. Fans can look forward to extended sets from both entertainers as well as special surprises later in the shows. Jake Owen and Grace Potter & The Nocturnals are also on the bill.
